
Today is a sad, sad day in the history of The New York Giants. Today, the Giants lost their wild card playoffs game to the Philidelphia Eagles, 23-20. And the worst part is that the Eagles scored the tiebreaking field goal with 3 seconds left in the game (though, on a lighter note, Tiki Barber will now begin a happy retirement from the NFL that will most likely mean a very successful TV career).
This is why I started this post with the words Yeetgadal v’ yeetkadash sh’mey rabbah, the first words of Kaddish, the Jewish prayer for the dead. For some reason, now seems like a very appropriate time to play Jennifer Hudson’s song from Dreamgirls, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.”
