I tried some gelato at GROM, the new Italian gelato place that opened up on the Upper West Side. I waited outside for half-an-hour to get it, but it was worth it. But, compared to the real Italian gelato (though GROM is an Italian gelato chain) I tried in Rome (the place was called Giolitti), it still wasn’t as good, but very, very close.

But the after effect is the Digg popularity. Digg is a breeding ground of young horny geeks and in the same fashion that Marvel Comics uses in making Jean Grey or Mary Jane sexier and bustier from year to year.

The Fidg’t Visualizer allows you to play around with your network through Flickr and LastFM tags, using any tag to create a Magnet. Once a Tag Magnet is created, members of the network will gravitate towards it if they have photos or music with that same Tag.
- News Corp. buys photo-sharing site Photobucket: After missing Dow Jones, I guess Murdoch needed to buy something to make himself feel better.
- Warren Buffet advises shareholders to buy index funds: While I do like index funds, good mutual funds can be even better, despite their rarity.
- Today I began my June 15, 5-10 pound weight loss quest (yes, quest). Today’s accomplishments: skipping sesert with lunch (and dinner), getting a banana and bottle of water as a snack instead of a pretzels and soda, and doing 50 sit-ups.
- Possible touchscreen iPod release tomorrow: In other news, the SAFA (Swine Air Force Academy) will announce its official opening tomorrow.
- Grom Italian gelato shop opens in Upper West Side of Manhattan: I saw it (and the crowd of people in it), and am curious to try it, especially after having real Italian gelato in Rome (which is very, very good)
