AaronFreedman.com is up and running!

Hello blogosphere! I know that it’s been a while, but I’ve finally updated by blog, formally Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of The Internet, into a full-fledged website, AaronFreedman.com. I admit that I didn’t and still don’t put too much effort into this blog, but I wanted to change my website to be more of a portal for my work, and less about the blog. So, I decided to evolve my blog into more of a website, complete with a dedicated front page. But, let me go through all of the changes to show you exactly what’s new:

1. Dedicated home page: Yes, aaronfreedman.com now goes to a dedicated homepage.

2. Updated bio: My bio has now been updated and is much more comprehensive.

3. New Wordpress and K2: I upgraded Wordpress from 2.0 to 2.0.5 and K2 from 0.8.x to 0.9.1.

4. New header: My friend, Austen, created my new header image, which looks great.

5. News sidebar: My new sidebar now has RSS feeds from The Teen Tech Buzz and MacUser, my Flickr photos, and more.

Still, even with all of the new changes, there’s still more to be done. Technorati needs to be set up with this blog, I need to edit my Blogrool, and the sidebar doesn’t display right on the blog page. But, eventually, everything will fall into place. But, here’s a brief update on what’s going on in my life:

  • I went to a Matisyahu (an orthodox-Jewish regge singer) concert on Saturday night. It was friggin’ awesome! Of course, it took from 6:30 until 8 for the opening act to start, which was terrible (it was Mr. Lif, a bad rapper who said the government knocked down the world trade center and got booed off the stage).
  • I got Last.fm and iLike, two great social-music services
  • I’m in 9th grade at high school!
  • Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel Magazine is publishing some of my photos from my family’s summer vacaion trip to Israel last year alongside my dad’s article on it. Check it out in the next issue!
  • I’m going to Paris over winter break, which’ll be loads of fun

So, that’s all for now, but stay tuned for my next posts.

The iPhone is not the iPhone?

The iPhone came out today, but…but…it’s not an iPhone! What the hell! It’s a set of SIP and Skype phones by Linksys! Oh Brian Lam, you sly, sly fox.
