Apparently, the new 5.5G iPod won’t play a 640 x 480 video encoded with Handbrake, even though Apple explicitly says that it can.

You got one already? Mine is supposed to be here tomorrow - I bought it from Apple Store on the 13th. I noticed that an update to VisualHub released today claims to encode video at 640×480 H.264, although I haven’t tried it yet. I notice they don’t say 640×480 MP4 so I suspect 640×480 only works for H.264.
